What is Dj and how I can do it?
DJ means disc jockey, is a person who plays musical recordings for a living. This may take place in a variety. Therefore, the exact role of the DJ may vary depending on the setting or the purpose of the music.
Radio DJs introduce and play music that is broadcast on AM, FM, shortwave, distal, or internet radio stations. DJ is to work for a radio station responsible for playing musical selections from a play list that has been provided by the the station. This play list is developed by the management to reach the target audience of the station. DJ for a radio station may be responsible for answering the question from listeners, conducting interviews with musicians and related and declaring commercials as decided by the radio station. DJ has little authority over when the particular music is played.
DJs are also providing music at a wedding reception. In this case, the DJ may receive a play list from ordered person. Alternatively, the ordered person may select a particular genre and leave it up to the DJ to select the songs to be played. DJ at a wedding reception also takes requests from those are present. The wedding DJ may also announce when special events are about to take place, such as the throwing of the bouquet. The wedding DJ generally interacts with the audience in order to encourage guests to dance and have fun.
DJs are plays music at a bar or a club. A DJ at a club similar to those of a wedding DJ. A club DJ may not take musical requests. DJs mix tracks beforehand in order to create recognizable songs with fun beats that encourage dancing.
Learn to use DJ here, read my disc jockey equipment reviews. I have been hanging at clubs and parties for about 3 years now and want you to share the experiences I’ve had. If you want to know the basics on the equipment and some advanced stuff on mixing then you have come to the right place!
To keep the crowd’s energy up you as the DJ must use your equipment skillfully. The crowd may have no idea what you are doing but they will appreciate the results. Those people in the crowd who do know about DJing will also respect your skill and ability to keep your cool in a thumping club, in front of a big audience. It’s not easy to make a nice tight, smooth mix for hours on end.
- you need to maintain the right level of energy
- keep people dancing all night
- don’t cheese out the hardcore crowd
- don’t play too hard and annoy the ladies
- try to avoid blowing up the sound system (going from very loud to permanent silence isn’t clever)
When mixing, the different pieces of disk jockey equipment must all be used skillfully (like a musical instrument). If you don’t know how this is done then you have come to the right place!
DJ equipment may consist of:
- Sound recordings in a DJ’s preferred medium (e.g., vinyl records, Compact Discs, computer media files, etc.);
- A combination of two devices (or only one, if playback is digital) to play sound recordings, for alternating back and forth to create a continuous playback of music (e.g., record players, Compact Disc players, computer media players such as an MP3 player, etc.);
- A multiple Sequencer which can mix MIDI tracks with Digital Audio
- A sound system for amplification or broadcasting of the recordings (e.g., portable audio system, PA system) or a radio broadcasting system;
- A DJ mixer, which is an electronic (usually 2- or 4-channel) audio mixer usually equipped with a cross fader used to smoothly go from one song to another, using two or more playback devices;
- Headphones, used to listen to one recording while the other recording is being played to the audience; and
- Optionally, a microphone, so that the DJ can introduce songs and speak to the audience.
There are many advantages if you shop for DJ equipment on the Internet. You will be able to get a better price than retail and you will be able to get the exact products you want.
After looking around on the Internet for some DJ equipment for myself I found a best DJ equipment online store (http://www.PowerUser.be), there is a massive range online and that almost any product manufactured can be found and bought. This makes shopping online fantastic as I did not have to settle for whatever brands my local store could get.
