Is there a website where companies giving bad service are named and shamed?

For example, Grundig have been going to call me back ‘in a moment’ for 3 weeks now – and I havn’t even bought the item yet. If I had I would be furious. And a ‘large electrical chain’ took four months to repair an electrical item and then tried to say that it was hard luck that the guarantee had expired during that period. (This was remedied after a protest). A lot of companies don’t seem to have Quality Control these days but assume we will either kick up a fuss or live with it. I seem to spend a lot of time getting retailers and suppliers to provide a ‘fit for purpose’ service.

Well, right off the top, the Better Business Bureau has an online site that serves the same purpose as they always have, to keep a database of companies which consumers have complained about. www.bbb.org

There are a variety of others online, but most people don’t pay attention to them. It’s just a place for most to vent some steam. Often it’s not so much the company you’re dealing with, but some idiot employee in the company that’s hard to get around. Nothing new. It’s been going on since the beginning of the 20th century, and it’s not getting worse. It just hasn’t been getting much better.
