how is radio australia broadcasted on shortwave?
Im able to tune to radio australia and radio new zealand on my shortwave radio here in toronto . are they broadcasted directly from those countrys or they have a satellite feed for north america and bradcasted from a tower here in north america .

The shortwave signal is direct, but due to the vagaries of radio signals you would need to adjust your receiver several times during the day in order to continue receiving the signal uninterrupted.
The source reference gives you the time of day and signal you would need to tune in to keep listening 24 hours a day. This means you could be listening to a show around noon, in Toronto, Canada, and the signal would begin to fade. To continue listening to the show you would need to re-tune to one of the alternate frequencies listed in the source reference for that time slot.
