Your Life a Drag and Going _Nowhere? You Should Try These Five Steps For Improvement

Seldom does anyone like to be compelled, even though by our own person, to enter into a timetable of labor. Anytime you create such a list and take the time to closely surmise it, you will probably find a feature that is engaging attention when effecting.

Most likely, what you want to get from life will be what you request and not what you expect others to delve into you thoughts. If you ask, totally, for what you desire, this puts the request into the court of someone else. And would you be astonished at the number of people are troubles to say “no.”

Are some of your workmates, apparently, the apple of the head honcho as they appear to be getting all the benefit? Do they seem to always have the best office? Time off work whenever they ask for it? Continually are assigned to the choice jobs? Generally, the benefits for these “perks” are not because they were favored but because they simply asked for them. On multiple occasions, you might have your opportunity at these prizes by simply asking for them. And on the same note, other workers may have been given the same chances if only they had asked and not expected someone to read their mind.

You should ask for whatever you want… every last thing. Say it again… ask for what you desire, but not just what you think you might get. But heed a word of warning… be careful what you are asking for because you might get it. That might not be the best for you. At any rate, there are five distinct steps in this process and you should be careful to consider each and take them seriously.

Step One Clearly decide what you want and fix firmly it in your mind.

Of the most importance, it is it is urgent that you have a clear perception of what you desire. More difficult than first imagined but much more difficult than first imagined. If you have in mind a exacting and itemized concept of what you actually want, you will more probably enjoy it. The entire proposition put forward in “The Secret” was based on your ability to put what you want out there for the cosmos great supply house.

Suppose you needed a new suit and a pair of shoes to attend a special occasion. Also suppose that was the positive thoughts you had? What you wanted was found on-line and you immediately ordered to assure their arrival in time for your special affair. On the afternoon of our occasion, your order arrived in the nick of time so you could dress up and attend your affair. But when you opened your delivered package, you noticed in horror that you had been sent the wrong size. Your first thought was that “The Secret” and this positive psychology had dismally failed you.

You did, in fact, receive a new pair of shoes but they did not meet up with your expectations. Consider this… the shoes were obviously new, but that was the only criterion you had in asking. Object lesson… prior to asking for your desires, be certain the details are in place down to the last detail.

Step Two Ask for it with, expecting to receive

A lot of people find it very difficult to ask for exactly what they want… or need. As a class of peole, few have been educated to the premise of thinking what we can get but not what we actually want. Sadly, a lot of us were reared in dysfunctional households where we were taught that predicting how other people would react and respond was necessary for survival. Continuing to try to read the minds of people we work and live with every day is a real energy drain. Just imagine, if you will, a cleaner conversation and interaction if we all stated our needs and wants and asked others the same privilege.

Step Three Be at peace with “NO”

When asking for all you want, do not be shocked when, often, the answer is a flat “No”.Whenever you first start using this approach to your work and your life, you will find some work partners simply glaring with a glazed look. Truth of the matter, a very large proportion of workers are feeling discomfort at saying “No”. Most all were customarily comfortable with dealing with others who seldom asked for something outside the box. You must train your partners at work and, for that matter, family members, that “No” is not a bad word and alright for an answer.

Step Four Learn to negotiate

If you get “No” as an answer to your request, there are two ways to respond. Sometimes, the best approach is to ask again, but using different words and approach. Quite often, a change in perspective creates a situation in which another person is more prone to say, “Yes”. If you find that this is not working, now is the time to negotiate. This is a topic that will probably be approached another time. Just be aware that negotiating skills are great ammunition to have in our quiver.

Step Five Whatever it is, learn to accept the outcome

After asking for what you want, negotiating the “No” responses and managing the most out of the circumstances, now it the time to accept what you have accomplished. Now is the time to move up and higher levels in life. It is unforgivable to now get stuck in a rut. You must value the successes and learn from the experiences.

Following these steps religiously will not preclude failure. A large part of this process is dependent on attitude and grace that is applied. Become relaxed with the entire process, particularly with exposing all of what you want to the daylight, does take practice. Although you may find yourself somewhat awkward in the beginning, you will find that adeptness will come from practice and consistency. Whenever the entire process becomes habitual, the successes will come. The real secret is persistence and that is your call.

In summary, resources that are online can be exceptionally useful to assist in surmounting the obstacles that are sure to arise. Changing attitudes will be so real and amazingly persuasive. If you apply an actual experience of which you are familiar, your progress will not be denied. In todo, this really amounts to the transference of positive attitudes and capabilities from one stage of life to another which is totally lacking. Extending coping abilities and applying them to areas with an obvious lacking is the point and purpose of this exercise.
