About a radio i want…..?
im a ham radio operator.. And i just got a offer to get the dream radio i have been wantingfor years.. But.. On fixed income and the matching power supply is a extra 100 dollars.. Would put me behind a bit with bills.. Cant pay all of them off this month.. I can afford it.. But would have to give up some food stuff.. And extra gas for van.. My radio quit i have and would cost more than the new one to fix.. His offer..$500 for one i want. And has all matching stuff for sale too.. 400 for radio..100 extra for speaker/power supply made for it.. This is almost half of others i have seen.. All gerenteed to work 100%.. What should i do..?
I used to work in radio and many of my friend were really into HAM radio. It has always been an expensive hobby, but if you have the talent to use them and even get creative with one, then it is obvious that you have been into the hobby for a long time. Even though you need to be careful, consider buying it and paying for it with a credit card. This way, you can afford it now and you can pay back the credit card guys on a monthly basis. Only consider this if you know that you can pay it back….stay “current” (“current” means that you pay your payment each month). Also, set aside buying that “big” holiday and/or birthday gift for yourself. You could also have a friend lend you the money and you could pay him back. Let the HAM radio be your “big” gift for the year. I know two guys who have thousands of dollars invested in their HAM radio gear, so your find seems to be a bargain. Consider going for it.
