Quick Look On FTA Files
Several changes have been brought about by advanced technology in our lives. It’s amazing to experience networking without wires, as never before.
No place is so far away as to be out of reach, and we have science to thank for this connectivity. Television and countless channels help us to know the world as we have never known or heard about it. Free to air files, are astonishingly connecting one person to the other, while sitting miles and miles away. All happenings in the farthest of places appear to be just next door happening. The broad casting on television and now on radio too, is a precious gift of FTA, based on the advanced technology. Waves from FTA are transmitted via its satellite, using Antenna, to the towers that are meant for broadcasting. The advanced technology helps the signals to reach the broadcasting venue without any disruption in unencrypted form. It allows the receiver to view and listen to broadcasted content without any prior subscription unlike the other channel subscribers.
The internet or the cable services that we use, for listening or viewing has been made possible through the FTA. FTA is quite similar to phones used during emergencies. The money paid to receive these signals is only where the necessary equipment cannot be made available. The service of FTA is not available to all the geographic locations because of the encoding of the clear signals without prior subscription.
Every dish net dealer has to register himself with the FTA carrier who is authorized to carry out this formality. The viewer by no means has to pay for receiving the free channels. There are both direct and indirect methods of receiving these FTA channels. Direct ways of receiving the FTA files are done by having a license for the registered FTA carrier and can be deposited as an onetime fee, like the BBC, CNN and the free to view channels. In Radio broadcasting, radio stations also get registered under the FTA license for free air broadcasting.
CBN and TV Tokyo can also provide indirect transmission signals, through their consumer products, if chosen likewise. Several brands and sponsorships brings about the possibility of broadcasting. This revolutionary technology is serving more as a video format through short waves, in international broadcasting. As the time goes by, viewers will be able to avail of improved services and watch free channels.

Physics Questions, please help!?
1)Pulsed lasers used in science and medicine produce very short bursts of electromagnetic energy. If the laser light wavelength is 1062 nm (this corresponds to a Neodymium-YAG laser), and the pulse lasts for 22 picoseconds, how many wavelengths are found within the laser pulse?
How short would the pulse need to be to fit only one wavelength?
___fs
2) A 1.30 m long FM antenna is oriented parallel to the electric field of an EM wave. How large must the electric field be to produce a 1.20 mV (rms) voltage between the ends of the antenna?
____V/m (rms)
What is the rate of energy transport per square meter?
____W/m2
3) The average intensity of a particular TV station’s signal is 1.2 10-13 W/m2 when it arrives at a 33 cm-diameter satellite TV antenna.
(a) Calculate the total energy received by the antenna during 7.0 hours of viewing this station’s programs.
_____J
(b) What are the amplitudes of the E and B fields of the EM wave?
___E V/m
_______
________
Ok, let’s go on with the first problem and the other ones :
1) wavelenght = 1062 nm = 1062*10^-9 meters
time = 22*10^-12 seconds
how many wavelengths are found within the laser pulse?
1062*10^-9 / 22*10^-12 = 48272.7 aprox
How short would the pulse need to be to fit only one wavelength?
1062*10^-9 seconds = 1.062*10^-6 s = 1.062 seconds
2) Electromagnetic wave :
E = electrical field
E*distance = Voltage
E*1.3 = 1.2*10^-3
E = 0.92*10^-3 (V / m)
energy = Eo*E^2
Eo = 8.85*10^-12
energy = 8.85*10^-12*(0.92*10^-3)^2 = 7.5*10^-19 J
Intensity of the wave = rate of energy transport :
Intensity = 1/2*Eo*c*E^2
c = speed of light
Intesity = 1/2*8.85*10^-12*3*10^8*(0.92*10^-3)^2
intensity = 11.24*10^-12 W / m^2
3) Intensity = 1.2 10-13 W/m^2
Power = Intensity*area = 1.2 10^-13*pi*(33/200)^2
Power =0.11*10^-13 Watts
Energy in 7.0 hours :
Power*time = 0.11*10^-12*7*3600 = 27.72*10^-10 J
To find the amplitudes of Em and Bm :
Intensity = 1.2 10^-13 = 1/2*Eo*c*(Em^2)
Em = 9.48*10^-6 (V/m)
remembering = Em = Bm*c
Bm = 3.16*10^-14 (Tesla)
Hope that helps
